A4 – priestor súčasnej kultúry
Cena: 15 – 50 €
L´EXPAT
L’EXPAT is a dance solo about leaving, returning and living between several cultures. Salim Mzé Hamadi Moissi draws on his own experience of having lived away from home and, after returning, searching again for a relationship with his roots. With humour, energy and precise physical work, he opens questions of identity, belonging and cultural memory. The performance speaks about crossing borders, returning home and how, after years spent outside one’s own culture, a person’s relationship to the place they come from changes.

Performance:
Salim Mzé Hamadi Moissi is a choreographer, performer and artistic director from the Comoros, an island state in the Indian Ocean between the eastern coast of Africa and Madagascar. He is the founder of Compagnie Tché-Za, through which he develops contemporary dance in the Comoros and connects it with the international scene. His work grows out of strong physicality, personal experience and questions of memory, identity and one’s relationship to the place one comes from.
Africa Moment was founded in Spain in 2016 and focuses on contemporary performing arts, artistic research and education. Its programme brings together work from different cultural contexts, with a particular focus on artists from the Global South.
The organisation creates space for different artistic approaches, experiences and perspectives to meet. Through performances, educational activities and international collaboration, Africa Moment broadens the view of contemporary performing arts and supports cultural exchange.
