Rebecca Journo/La Pieuvre (France)
Aréna Theatre
Cena: 15 – 60 €
Portrait
PORTRAIT by choreographer Rebecca Journo offers a suggestive reflection on today’s obsession with image and fleeting identity. Inspired by the visual art of Cindy Sherman and Francesca Woodman, the work unfolds on stage as a series of “living portraits” suspended between snapshot and duration. Four female figures examine their own image under the gaze of the audience, fragmenting the body and unsettling its stability. The soundscape of water, glass and crystal plays a distinctive role, shaping both the space and the rhythm of movement. Working with illusion, reflection and constant transformation, the piece creates a precise and sensorially dense image of identity as an unstable and elusive construct.
